Presentation of the cross-section table with definition of the data related to a calculation with deformable cross-sections with using Finite Elements. A finite element of a certain type is assigned to the respective cross-section element. Available element types are plate elements, shear wall elements, shell elements and  volume elements.

The window contains 4 areas: Top left the table of cross-sections with basic parameters, top right a graphic presentation of the cross-section, and bottom the table of the assigned Finite Elements.

SettingDescription
Cross-section table (top left)
  • Group: Group name of the cross-section
  • Name: Name of the individual cross-section (variant of grouped cross-sections)
  • Catalogue Name: Name of the respective catalog cross-section in the case the cross-section has been taken over from the predefined cross-section catalog.
  • N-Part:Number of individual Parts of the cross-section
Graphic presentation (top right) The graphical view shows the cross section with all its parts. The part currently selected in the lower left table is drawn in signal color (red).
  • GraphSet:Function for modification of the presentation (selection of presented properties of the whole cross-section.
  • Mark pnt:Option for switching on or off the element boundary marking
  • Zoom:Option for maximizing the presentation of the current cross-section part.
Table of Finite Elements
  • Elem:Number of the cross-section element
  • El-Type:Type of the Finite Element
  • No-Fem: No FE element assigned
  • FE_WALL4 Shear wall element with 4 nodes
  • FE_PLATE4 Plate element with 4 nodes
  • FE_SHELL4 Schalenelement with 4 nodes
  • FE_VOL8 Volume element with 8 nodes
  • N1, N2, N3, N4, N5, N6, N7, N8, N9
  • Assignment of the DOF's (slave parts) to the nodes of the cross-section element.
